We provide the following:
Nursing Care : Our home provides a safe and comfortable environment for people in need of nursing support. We create personalised care plans to make sure that each and everyone can enjoy their life to the full.
Residential Care : We treat each and every resident as an individual. As part of the process of moving in, we talk in depth to each resident and their families so that we have a clear and detailed view of each residents’ needs, hobbies, interests, former careers, favourite foods and so on.
Private Care : By understanding our residents’ needs, preserving dignity and respecting independence, we help to create a real sense of home. A very personalised approach to care and environment.
Respite : People need a respite break for all sorts of reasons - convalescence after an operation, carers needing to go on holiday or just a change of scene.
Dementia Care : Whether it’s Alzheimer’s, vascular dementia, mixed dementia, Lewy body dementia, Parkinson’s , or one of the many other forms of dementia, we are here to help and provide trained carers and an environment suitable to meet care needs.
Elderly people deserve to live in high-quality environments and this is one of our guiding principles. They also need privacy to maintain their dignity, so we ensure that each person in our care has all the space they need.
Blanefield Care provides each person with their own en suite walk in shower private room. All are well appointed with their own TV point and most with telephone and some of the 2016 refurbished en suites provide private ground floor balcony with stunning views of the Blanefield forests and campsie hills. We discuss personal room preferences so residents can really make themselves at home.
That’s not all, of course: Blanefield Care provide a variety of facilities that residents can use at their leisure. Hairdressers, opticians, GP surgeries and entertainment facilities are available for all and we organise regular activities so there’s always plenty to do. A weekly planner is available to all, outings to local markets, shows and visits from Scottish entertainers.
Delicious and nutritious meals are served every day in attractive, relaxing dining rooms and each individual’s dietary needs are taken into account. We are well aware that a balanced diet is vital for health and that good food is one of life’s pleasures, so all dishes are made with taste and nutrition in mind. Our home offer cooking courses, giving residents the opportunity to cook masterpieces with our chef or bake in our dining areas.
